Not sure what the fuss is about, this went on in a breeze! Wiped the table down with a damp paper towel first. Then sat down gave the iPad a good clean with the included cloth until it was spotless. Then took off the bottom of the first side if the protector and lined it up with the bottom of the screen (with the home button). Slowly peeled the plastic from the protector and lay it down on the screen as I went. No bubbles or dust, went on in 10 seconds! Gives a nice Matt sheen, feels nicer to touch than the bare screen and reduces glare. Does produce a slight speckle effect but I think I can live with it. Only really visible large White areas of the screen.
